Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the operating room at Abington Memorial Hospital. This full-time day shift offers four 10-hour shifts per week, with OR experience required and circulating/scrubbing experience preferred.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-family-centered care, and adherence to evidence-based practice. You will participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with nurses and other professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Specialized diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in state of practice (PA).
• BSN or higher preferred within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nurses and inter-professional team to provide safe, compassionate care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and recovery steps.
• Communicate clearly using health IT systems and document accurately.
• Participate in safety and quality improvement activities and committees.
• Support discharge planning and post-discharge follow-up.
