Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician - OR to deliver direct, age-appropriate care under RN or licensed practitioner supervision. You will support the surgical team, maintain sterile fields, prepare equipment for cases, and help ensure patient safety and comfort in a high-demand OR environment.

The role requires a High School diploma; CNA preferred; BLS certification; and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Experience in healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and direct care to patients in their assigned unit.
• Assist with transfer and positioning of patients in the OR.
• Maintain sterile field and prepare supplies for cases as per surgeon preference.
