Zusammenfassung

VCU Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, age-appropriate care under RN supervision on a 28-bed inpatient unit within Acute Care Surgical Services. You will monitor patient conditions, assist with daily activities, and support the plan of care while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and CNA eligibility or experience; BLS/CPR may be required.

Qualifikationen

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Minimum qualifications include CNA, MA, EMT, or Nursing Aide training and healthcare experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide safe direct care to patients in assigned unit and monitor patient conditions.
• Provide direct and indirect care to meet comfort, hygiene and safety needs.
• Follow nursing plans of care and hospital policies.
• Maintain safe, clean, stocked environment to support patient needs.
• Prepare and maintain supplies, equipment and environment for quality care.
• Document patient information accurately and report changes to care team.
• Assist with specimen collection for diagnostic tests as needed.
• Attend mandatory trainings and adhere to training requirements.
• Support patient safety initiatives and collaborate with care team.
• Establish rapport with patients, visitors, and staff; respond to instructions promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
