Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Operating Room on a rotating schedule in Richmond, VA. The role provides age-appropriate direct care under the supervision of RNs and anesthesiology staff, assisting with transfers, positioning, and sterile preparation for cases.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, prefer CNA certification, and hold AHA BLS HCP certification.

Formación

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: CNA certification.
• Licensure/Certification: AHA BLS HCP or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct, age-appropriate care to patients in the OR setting under RN supervision.
• Assist with transfers and positioning of patients during procedures.
• Prepare sterile equipment, supplies, and instruments for cases based on surgeon preference cards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked environment in the OR and related areas.
• Support nursing and surgical teams with patient safety and comfort throughout shifts.
