Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center is seeking an Environmental Services Operating Room Technician to maintain sterile, safe surgical environments. You will clean and prepare OR spaces after procedures using professional cleaning tools, while adhering to infection prevention protocols.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, some housekeeping experience (hospital setting preferred), and willingness to undergo surgical area cleaning training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Housekeeping experience, preferably in hospital/medical settings.
• Willingness to complete surgical area cleaning training.

Responsibilities

• Clean Operating Rooms and surgical areas after procedures.
• Operate professional cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with Environmental Services, Infection Prevention, and OR staff.
• Occasionally supervise a small crew when needed.
