University Health is seeking an Environmental Services Operating Room Technician (EVS OR Tech) at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This role keeps ORs spotless and safe, supporting life-saving procedures with expert cleaning and infection prevention.

You will train in specialized OR cleaning, operate pro-level equipment, and collaborate with OR staff and infection prevention to maintain sterile environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hands-on housekeeping experience; hospital/medical setting preferred.
• Willingness to complete surgical area cleaning training.
• Experience with vacuums, scrubbers, polishers, and related equipment.
• Detail-oriented with cleaning products and surfaces.
• Strong reading and writing skills for instruction and documentation.
• Physical stamina to stay active throughout shifts.
• Team player with pride in meaningful work.
• Ability to supervise a small crew when needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide VIP cleaning in operating rooms and surgical areas after procedures.
• Operate high-powered vacuums, scrubbers, polishers, and pro-level tools.
• Use the right cleaners on each surface to avoid damage and achieve sparkling results.
• Keep environments smelling fresh and clean.
• Follow strict safety, cleanliness, and infection prevention protocols.
• Collaborate with Environmental Services, Infection Prevention, and OR staff.
• Occasionally lead a small team and keep the crew on track.
