Job summary

Advocate Health in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care under RN supervision. Tasks include bathing, feeding, and EMR documentation with a 36-hour workweek scheduled Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 15:00.

Requirements include a GED/HSED or high school diploma, BLS within 45 days, and Nurse Aide in good standing. Full-time benefits are available within a large health system.

• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation under supervision.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other patient data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Performs errands and maintains stock for nursing area; cleans equipment and work areas.
• Performs patient positioning and transport tasks; assists with nutrition and diet-related needs.
• Maintains skin integrity and uses patient supplies and appliances.
• May remove IVs and provide post mortem care under RN direction as needed.
