Job summary

C&W Services (S) is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role includes rounds, preventive maintenance, energy management and timely repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience, appropriate licenses, and a proven track record in commercial building operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as required.
• Certification as Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure requirements.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, controls, and sensors.
• Verify field conditions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Monitor energy management and efficiency of systems.
• Repair doors, ceilings, rails, floors, and other general property tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance per standards including filters, coils, belts, bearings, and paddings.
• Inspect engine room and electrical rooms, generators, pumps, and safety systems.
• Document and report activities to supervisor; respond to emergencies.
• Comply with codes, safety protocols, and company directives; complete safety training.
