Job summary

Purview Services seeks an senior IT architect to lead end-to-end OpenShift platform design across on‑prem and cloud environments, driving a VMware-to-OpenShift migration and establishing robust IaC/CI/CD practices. You will shape security, governance, and capacity planning while collaborating with infra, security, DevOps, and application teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in OpenShift/Kubernetes architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x preferred).
• Proven experience leading VMware to OpenShift or virtualization-to-container migrations.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration; Infrastructure design (compute, storage, networking); Enterprise networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, firewalls); Platform security and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization platforms.
• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP preferred).
• Expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, GitOps practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of OpenShift platform across on-prem and/or cloud environments.
• Define and implement migration strategy from VMware-based infrastructure to OpenShift container platform.
• Architect and oversee infrastructure components including compute, storage, virtualization, and OS layers.
• Design and implement networking architecture including SDN, ingress/egress, load balancing, DNS, and service mesh.
• Define and enforce platform security architecture including RBAC, IAM, network policies, secrets management, image security, and compliance controls.
• Establish platform standards, governance, and best practices for containerization and Kubernetes workloads.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure seamless adoption.
• Act as the primary technical authority and escalation point for OpenShift-related initiatives.
• Provide advisory support to senior leadership and stakeholders on platform roadmap, scalability, resilience, and cost optimization.
• Lead capacity planning, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization strategies.
• Support automation initiatives using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
