Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Restaurant General Manager to lead a brand-new fast-casual concept in the Los Angeles area from the ground up. You will own daily operations and guest experience as the opening team takes shape.

You’ll recruit, hire, and train the opening staff, build schedules and service routines, and implement operating systems to ensure smooth service. Cultivating community relationships and maintaining a high-standards culture are essential to long-term success.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Restaurant General Manager experience
• Opening experience or eagerness to lead a first opening
• Ability to remain composed during busy service
• Strong communication with clear follow-through

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and train opening team
• Build schedules, service routines, and daily operating systems in preparation for the restaurant launch
• Lead the front of house during service to ensure a smooth guest experience and maintain service standards
• Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable while fostering a positive culture
• Oversee labor management, inventory ordering, daily reporting, and general operations
• Cultivate strong relationships within the local community to support the restaurant's growth
