Job summary

goop kitchen in Culver City is seeking a General Manager to build and lead our opening team, partnering with the CDC to align front-of-house and back-of-house operations and set the standard for guest experience.

You will own scheduling, staffing, cost management, and facilities, ensuring safety and cleanliness, while mentoring a hospitality-driven team committed to delivering thoughtful, high-quality food and service.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of restaurant leadership experience as a General Manager.
• Experience in full-service, fast casual or hospitality-driven restaurant environments.
• Experience owning a restaurant P+L.
• Food handler card / certification — e.g., ServSafe Food Handler required within 30 days of employment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• New restaurant opening experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Guest Experience by providing hands-on leadership and ensuring guests feel welcomed by the team.
• Lead Restaurant Operations with floor presence and cross-functional collaboration between FOH and BOH.
• Drive Operational Excellence through budgeting, scheduling, and cost management to hit KPIs.
• Own hiring for the restaurant, in partnership with the CDC for BOH and service roles.
• Lead and develop the service team, mentoring staff and fostering a culture of care.
