Job summary

HealthFitness has a part-time/on-call Lifeguard role at our client site located in West Hartford, CT. You will monitor pool safety, enforce rules, respond to emergencies and perform routine water testing four times daily.

Minimum 16 years old with American Red Cross Lifeguarding CPR/AED First Aid certification, and proficiency in MS Office. The final wage offer will reflect location, qualifications and market rates; compensation is competitive within the industry.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of member management systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend required staff meetings and training.
• Fold towels, clean, fill water machines and inspect the Aquatics Facility to ensure safety.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
