Qualifikationen

• Earned doctorate in Reading/Literacy Education or related field by appointment date.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching children and/or adolescents to read.
• Knowledge of Texas literacy mandates, standards and policies for multilingual learners.
• Three or more years of successful PK-12 ELAR teaching experience.
• Higher education teaching experience or strong potential for instruction.
• Emerging scholarly activity and peer-reviewed publication.
• Commitment to preparing educators to support all learners.

Aufgaben

• Teach undergraduate and graduate reading/literacy courses and supervise field experiences.
• Lead literacy curriculum development aligned with TEKS, ELAR, ELPS, RTI/MTSS and Science of Reading.
• Assess student learning outcomes and contribute to accreditation processes.
• Maintain an active research agenda and seek external funding when appropriate.
• Serve on university committees and engage in school-university partnerships.
