Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks part-time adjunct faculty for Emergency Medicine at open rank (Adjoint Instructor or Adjunct Senior Instructor). The position supports clinical care and bedside teaching across UCHealth locations, including possible virtual platforms.

The successful candidate will contribute to patient care quality, participate in CME and committee work, and help lead at least one project annually.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Medical License, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Completion of an emergency medicine residency.
• Board prepared or certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Eligible for Adjoint Instructor or Adjoint Senior Instructor based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an attending in the emergency department at approved sites, including UCHealth facilities and virtual platforms.
• Lead or participate in efforts to improve patient safety, clinical quality and patient experience, with leadership of at least one project annually if requested.
• Participate in rotating sick call coverage per department guidelines, if applicable.
• Complete CME per departmental guidelines.
• Serve on department or practice-site committees as needed.
