Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an Academic Emergency Medicine Physician to join as open rank Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The role encompasses patient care, bedside and didactic teaching, and scholarly activity across multiple subspecialties.

The successful candidate will contribute to clinical care at the ED, participate in teaching of residents and students, and engage in research with federal funding goals.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Completion of an emergency medicine residency.
• Board prepared or certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
• Doctorate degree.
• Must be able to provide a Dossier for School of Medicine committee review.
• Applicants will have some successful teaching experience and will be expected to teach and/or provide clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attending clinical care in the ED at approved sites.
• Deliver bedside teaching and supervision for residents and students.
• Publish peer‑reviewed manuscripts and disseminate scholarly activity.
• Submit applications for federal funding within 2–3 years of hire.
• Contribute to patient safety, quality and patient experience.
• Participate in department and hospital committees as needed.
