Job summary

Horizon Resources is seeking an Opening Shift Kitchen Employee to start daily kitchen operations in a convenience store setting. You will open the kitchen, prep breakfast and other items, restock supplies, and ensure cleanliness and food safety before store traffic increases.

The role requires punctuality, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. You will communicate needs to management and assist with displays as required.

Qualifications

• Early morning availability required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open the kitchen and prepare all necessary equipment and ingredients for the day.
• Prepare and cook breakfast and other food items according to store standards.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times.
• Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift.
• Assist with labeling, packaging, and setting up food displays.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service when needed.
• Communicate any maintenance or inventory needs to management.
