Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect care and assist surgeons during operative procedures. The role emphasizes precision, sterile technique, and teamwork in a dynamic surgical suite.

Qualifications include BLS within 3 months, an Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a certificate, and 1+ year of experience preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available, and compensation is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience with surgical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timely accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure instruments and sutures are complete, functional and available.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction; coordinate back table/mayo setup.
• Anticipate case needs and ensure required items are available; use resources wisely.
• Collaborate with the surgeon to adjust for case specifics and maintain smooth workflow.
• Scrub on simple to complex procedures and run mayo independently when needed.
