Job summary

Carle Health in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures and patient care. You will prepare surgeons for cases, set up sterile fields, and collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements include BLS certification, an Associate or Certificate in Surgical Technology, and 1+ years of experience preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available. Yo u will join a dedicated team across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months (AHA).
Associate degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
1+ years of experience in surgical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timely, accurate setup.
Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
Set up sterile field and be scrubbed prior to induction; assist as needed.
Run mayo setup and back table organization; provide appropriate have-available items.
Collaborate with surgeon to anticipate case needs and adjust as necessary.
Scrub on simple to complex procedures; run mayo and adapt techniques to surgeon preferences.
Perform first/second scrub and circulator roles; complete case closing activities.
