Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect patient care in the operating room. The role involves assisting surgeons, preparing for a wide range of procedures, and maintaining a sterile field with efficiency and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree or a certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification, with 1+ year experience preferred. Competitive pay with sign-on and relocation bonuses is offered.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months.
• 1+ years of surgical technology experience preferred.
• Completion of surgical technology education program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon's operative/invasive procedures with timely accuracy.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and suture are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Assist with back table and mayo setup.
• Anticipate needs; provide appropriately needed items.
• Collaborate with surgeon to adjust intraoperative plans.
• Run mayo independently and adapt to surgeon’s technique.
• Prepare for potential case changes calmly and efficiently.
• Contribute to efficient unit operations and quality improvement.
