Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a dedicated perioperative RNFA to support the CT Surgery team. The role includes perioperative assessments, assisting during operative procedures, and participating in postoperative rounds to evaluate patient progress.

You will educate patients and families, document outcomes, and perform related duties under supervision. A Florida RN license and RNFA training are required, with BLS certification also expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program accredited by the AORN.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in Florida.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Preferred: CNOR, RNAS-C or CRNFA credentials.
• Two years of perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated to CT Surgery, participates in perioperative assessments with the surgical team.
• Assists surgeons during operative procedures under supervision.
• Participates in postoperative rounds and evaluates patient progress.
• Assesses patient and family knowledge and provides education.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as needed.
