Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to support perioperative services across the OR and related areas. This role emphasizes patient-family centered care and collaboration with surgical teams.

The RNFA functions as first assistant during operations and as RN circulator when needed. Requirements include GA RN licensure, CNOR/CRNFA, ACLS and PALS, plus 2 years perioperative experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (required).
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (required).
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience (required).

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Serve as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and as RN circulator when needed.
• Maintain scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education and competency verification.
