Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join its perioperative team and assist surgeons during operative procedures, with involvement in perioperative assessments and postoperative care planning.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in nursing, Florida RN licensure, and completion of an AORN-accredited RNFA program; two years of perioperative nursing experience and BLS certification are preferred; a BSN and CNOR/RNAS-C are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• RNFA program accredited by AORN preferred.
• Two years perioperative nursing experience encouraged.
• BLS certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures under supervision.
• Participate in perioperative assessments and rounds; monitor progress.
• Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
• Perform miscellaneous duties related to perioperative care.
