Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a dedicated perioperative Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our surgical team in Tallahassee, FL. The role includes collaboration with surgeons during operative procedures, perioperative assessments, and postoperative rounds to support patient recovery.

In addition to providing patient education and family counseling, you’ll participate in post-surgical care plans and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two years of perioperative nursing experience.
• RN First Assistant (RNFA) program completed.
• Florida RN license in good standing (multistate licensure preferred).
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required; CNOR/RNAS-C/CRNFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during perioperative procedures under supervision.
• Participate in postoperative rounds and monitor patient progress.
• Provide education to patients and families about procedures and care.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
