Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design, govern, and deliver enterprise ontologies for knowledge graphs. You will bridge business, data engineering, and AI/ML teams, translating complex domains into rigorous semantic models that power intelligent applications.

The role emphasizes ontology lifecycle ownership, governance standards, and collaboration across cross‑functional teams in a hybrid work setting with travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in ontology engineering, knowledge modeling, or a closely related semantic web discipline.
• Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience delivering domain ontologies in an enterprise or consulting context.
• Bachelor’s in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Lead the full ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Design T-Box structures and support A-Box hydration patterns
• Apply OWL, RDF, RDFS and SKOS with SHACL validation
• Map relational or semi-structured sources into semantic models
• Build and maintain knowledge graphs to enable reasoning and analytics
• Collaborate with NLP and data teams on ontology-guided extraction
