Job summary

Tiger Analytics is seeking an Ontology Architect to lead enterprise-scale ontology design, knowledge graph architecture, and semantic-layer governance. You will collaborate with data teams to map and augment data products while applying semantic reasoning to surface actionable insights.

The role emphasizes rigorous experimentation, business leadership, and impact at scale within a data-driven analytics environment.

Qualifications

• Expert-level mastery of core semantic technologies.
• Hands-on experience with production-grade Graph Databases / Triple Stores (e.g., GraphDB, Stardog, Amazon Neptune, AllegroGraph, or Neo4j).
• Proficiency with ontology engineering and taxonomy tools (e.g., Protégé, TopBraid Composer, PoolParty).
• Clear understanding of Data Mesh paradigms and designing a semantic layer over federated Data Products.
• Strong foundation in relational databases, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT patterns.

Responsibilities

• Ontology & Taxonomy Design: lead creation and evolution of ontologies and vocabularies across domains.
• Knowledge Graph Architecture: design scalable graph architecture, ingestion pipelines, and governance.
• Semantic Layer Strategy: maintain enterprise semantic layer for a unified, machine-readable data view.
• Data Product Augmentation: map and link data products using central ontology for interoperability.
• Inference & Reasoning: implement semantic rules to generate metadata and insights.
• Governance & Standards: establish best practices and data contracts for semantic models.
