Job summary

Career Team in Everett, WA seeks a Project Director to oversee a human capital project within the workforce development portfolio. You will drive the program’s strategic plan, ensure compliance, and coordinate field operations with stakeholders.

You'll lead cross-functional teams, monitor expenditures, coach staff, and report progress to the Regional Director while fostering continuous improvement and delivering results for job seekers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in operational leadership and management.
• 3+ years of demonstrated ability working in a dynamic team environment with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead in a dynamic team environment; excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• 2+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead a team with different working styles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and handling personnel matters effectively.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base with sensitivity and diplomacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; astute time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience and knowledge of workforce development programs and contracts (WIOA).
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary local contact and contract liaison for funding source.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and program monitoring.
• Focus on expenditure rates to stay within budget while driving metrics and performance; coach frontline staff and create service delivery plans.
• Coordinate planning and implementation of policies for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Lead high-functioning employees to execute program initiatives and support growth.
• Responsible for daily programmatic operations and performance evaluations.
• Approach tasks with a solutions-oriented and responsive mindset.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and management.
• Position is 100% onsite at the listed location.
