Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. in Flagstaff, Arizona, seeks a Wellness Specialist to coordinate and deliver workplace wellness, health promotion, injury prevention, and ergonomic initiatives at a dedicated client site.

Working with the onsite Injury Prevention Specialist (Athletic Trainer), you will educate, screen, and engage employees while promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors, safety, and participation in wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required.
• Wellness coaching or ergonomic credential preferred.
• Experience conducting office/industrial ergonomic assessments preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in workplace wellness or related field required.
• Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments preferred.
• Experience collaborating with athletic trainers or safety professionals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver onsite wellness programs focused on physical activity, nutrition, stress management, sleep health, chronic disease prevention, injury prevention, and ergonomics.
• Serve as the primary wellness resource for employees and client stakeholders.
• Facilitate wellness workshops, health campaigns, lunch-and-learns, wellness challenges, stretch-and-flex programs, and special events.
• Conduct wellness screenings and assessments, including blood pressure screenings, grip strength testing, functional movement screenings and office ergonomic assessments.
• Collaborate with the onsite WorkCare Injury Prevention Specialist to support injury prevention programming, ergonomic interventions, workforce conditioning initiatives, and employee education efforts.
• Assist with office and industrial ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations.
• Provide health education, behavior change support, and referrals to appropriate resources.
• Promote participation in wellness programs and digital wellness tools to support employee engagement.
• Identify opportunities to improve employee health, wellness engagement, ergonomics, and injury prevention efforts.
• Coordinate wellness activities, educational campaigns, and onsite events to maximize employee participation and engagement.
• Track wellness participation, ergonomic assessments, injury prevention initiatives, and program outcomes using established reporting tools.
• Analyze participation and engagement trends and provide recommendations for program improvement.
• Prepare reports and summaries for WorkCare leadership and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client leadership, safety personnel, and HR representatives to support workplace health and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with applicable privacy, safety, and workplace health requirements; exercise sound professional judgment and maintain current knowledge of workplace wellness, ergonomics, injury prevention and employee engagement best practices.
