Job summary

WorkCare, Inc. is expanding its injury prevention program into Arizona and has partnered with a manufacturer in Flagstaff. This position will play a key role in establishing the program at the client site and helping grow WorkCare's presence in Arizona.

The Injury Prevention Specialist is a certified Athletic Trainer that provides industrial injury prevention program services focused on total worker health. Services are provided within OSHA first aid guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field required.
• BOC Certified AT in good standing required.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
• Must hold CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomic fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first-aid, and escalation of care as needed.
• Coordinate ongoing communication with all parties in injury management.
• Support injured employees, monitor medical care, and promote reporting and investigation.
• Assist in finding temporary modified work in line with restrictions.
• Help prevent musculoskeletal injuries through ergonomic assessments and training.
• Conduct ergonomic analyses and provide workstation/vehicle setup recommendations.
• Educate and coach workers to improve physical resilience and body mechanics.
• Promote healthy lifestyle changes: nutrition, fitness, stress management.
• Mitigate risks to total worker health to prevent injuries.
• Develop job-specific agility routines for Work Hardening.
• Engage with employees at their work location regularly.
• Maintain records of triage, ergonomic assessments, and education.
