Placements24 is seeking an experienced Well Intervention Specialist for field assignments around Upington, Northern Cape. You will plan, design, and supervise P&A, fishing, reperforating, and stimulation projects to maintain or restore oil production.

The role demands seven plus years of hands-on experience, strong hydraulics knowledge, and ability to lead on-site teams. You will work with clients and engineers to optimize well performance while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive well intervention experience.
• Experience planning and executing P&A, fishing, reperforating, and stimulation.
• Strong knowledge of wellbore hydraulics, tubulars, and completion equipment.
• Familiarity with slickline, coiled tubing, and electric line operations.
• Knowledge of well control principles and procedures.
• Excellent problem solving, decision making, and leadership under pressure.
• Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in oilfield operations.
• Ability to work effectively in remote field locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design well intervention operations, including P&A, fishing, reperforating, and stimulation.
• Develop detailed job programs, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Supervise and coordinate on-site operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Select and procure necessary equipment, tools, and services.
• Monitor well conditions and operational parameters during interventions.
• Analyze post-intervention data and provide performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to identify intervention needs and opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field personnel.
