Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Well Intervention Engineer for our client in the East London, Eastern Cape region. You will plan, execute and supervise well intervention workovers, completions and production optimization tasks, applying best practices and advanced technologies.

This hybrid role combines field and office duties within the upstream Oil & Gas sector in South Africa. You will collaborate with reservoir and production engineers to improve well performance and maintain safety and cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in well intervention, workovers and completions.
• Strong understanding of wellbore mechanics and downhole tools.
• Experience with artificial lift systems and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in developing well intervention programs and conducting risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design well intervention programs, including workover procedures and artificial lift installations.
• Prepare detailed job programs, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
• Supervise and coordinate well intervention operations on-site or remotely.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Manage equipment, materials and personnel required for intervention operations.
• Monitor well performance and troubleshoot issues during operations.
• Conduct post-job analysis and prepare technical reports with results and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with reservoir and production engineers and other stakeholders.
