Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to optimize oil and gas production in Welkom, South Africa. You will analyze data, design artificial lift systems, and drive production optimization across multidisciplinary teams to maximize recovery and efficiency.

The role requires a strong background in production system modeling, well testing, forecasting, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in production engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Proven artificial lift design, analysis, and troubleshooting expertise.
• Strong production system modeling and optimization software skills.
• Experience with well testing, data analysis, and forecasting.

Mansioni

• Analyze production data to identify underperforming wells and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift) to enhance well productivity.
• Develop and execute production optimization strategies, including well stimulation and workover planning.
• Monitor production facility performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Conduct production forecasting and contribute to field development planning.
• Collaborate with reservoir, drilling, and operations teams for integrated field management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior production engineers.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to management.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve production efficiency and recovery.
