Job summary

Legends Global seeks an Assistant Operations Manager for on-site leadership at Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, OH. You will supervise Event Services staff, coordinate client meetings, and liaise with service contractors to ensure seamless events.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of management experience coordinating events in large venues. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience coordinating events in a multi-purpose facility preferred.
• Minimum of two years management level experience coordinating events in a convention center or major hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written skills needed.
• Working knowledge of facility management, services, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Event Services staff and oversees all facility operations related to events.
• Meets with clients to plan and organize meetings and events.
• Coordinates activities with service contractors for events.
• Interprets contracts, policies, and procedures for clients.
• Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.
• Assists in scheduling operational set-ups and training staff.
• Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
• Monitors in-house events to ensure successful outcomes.
• Participates in planning and facility meetings to support operations.
• Acts as Manager on duty as required.
