Aston Carter is seeking an entry-level Recruiter I to support university hiring teams during peak periods. This onsite Chicago role covers sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes delivering a customer-focused candidate experience and requires 1–2 years in recruiting or a related high-volume setting, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a high-volume sourcing or recruiting environment.
• Experience supporting offer processing, transfers, or similar employment transactions.
• Familiar with recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Able to follow instructions and established guidelines in recruiting tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with candidate data and status changes.
• Experience in recruiting and sourcing activities, including pipeline management.
• Exposure to full-cycle recruitment support within talent acquisition.
• Capable of working under immediate supervision and reporting to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates proactively to build talent pipelines for high-volume hiring.
• Reach out to candidates and engage them throughout the process.
• Keep candidates informed between interview stages with timely updates.
• Conduct interviews and assess qualifications per guidelines.
• Check references as part of pre-employment screening.
• Extend offers and communicate next steps clearly.
• Support new hire orientation for smooth onboarding.
• Perform exit interviews and document feedback per procedures.
• Process status changes (transfers, etc.) with accuracy.
• Follow recruiting processes to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Collaborate with supervisors, hiring managers, and university team to meet peak demands.
• Maintain accuracy in data entry and offer processing.
