Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer at the Circleville, OH plant to lead maintenance of the Energy Recovery Unit (ERU). You will administer preventative maintenance, manage budgets, ensure environmental permit compliance, and train ERU personnel.

Onsite reporting to ERU Manager and collaboration with contractors and ERU staff are core elements. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in engineering with 5+ years of mechanical/industrial experience, or a long track record with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical, chemical, or industrial experience; or 15+ years with HS diploma.
• Proficiency with computer applications and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand capital budgeting, cost analysis, and permits.

Responsibilities

• Administer the ERU Preventative Maintenance program to maintain efficiency.
• Oversee Leak Detection/Repair and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate ERU staff with contractors for seamless operations.
• Plan semi-annual ERU maintenance shutdowns.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
• Assist in project engineering to improve plant operations.
• Review and update spare parts inventory to reduce downtime.
• Manage ERU maintenance budget and cost statements.
• Provide technical assistance and training to ERU staff.
• Track maintenance history and drive issue-resolution.
• Conduct safety and health audits and contractor safety orientations.
