Job summary

Crown Innovations, Inc. is seeking experienced Tower Construction Technicians to join our Integration & Infrastructure & Engineering Division.

This local, fully onsite role supports FAA and NAS projects involving tower replacements, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization. You will perform civil construction, tower installation, RF cabling, and equipment integration, working with safety standards and FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for government contract work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of tower construction or civil infrastructure experience.
• Experience with tower assembly, RF cabling, grounding, and electrical systems in aviation/telecom environments.
• Experience operating light construction equipment (CTL, excavators).
• Knowledge of conduit work, trenching, and concrete forming.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a federal security clearance and background checks.
• Basic computer skills for documentation (MS Office).
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety per OSHA/FAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform site excavation, trenching, foundation pouring, conduit installation, and backfilling for tower bases and infrastructure.
• Execute concrete forming and civil construction per engineering specs.
• Support site prep and cleanup.
• Operate CTL, mini-excavators, skid steers, and telehandlers.
• Move materials safely and ensure trained staff operate equipment.
• Assemble and upgrade towers including mounts and waveguide bridges.
• Install RF cabling, coax, fiber, and weatherproof routing.
• Implement grounding and electrical systems per NEC/FAA standards.
• Tower climb for inspections and maintenance; climbing cert preferred.
• Decommission and remove legacy towers and equipment safely.
• Read blueprints and RF data sheets; coordinate outages and timelines.
• Ensure safety, environmental regs, and QA processes.
• Document work progress and reports; maintain inventory of tools.
