Job summary

Crown Innovations Inc. in Dallas–Fort Worth, TX is seeking experienced Tower Construction Technicians for an on-site role supporting FAA and NAS infrastructure modernization. You will perform site prep, tower installation, RF cabling, and compliance with safety standards on government projects.

Minimum 3–5 years in tower construction or telecom installation is required; a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain federal clearance are essential. This is a fully onsite position with no travel.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for government contract work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of tower construction, civil infrastructure, or telecommunications installation.
• Proven experience with tower assembly, RF cabling, grounding, and electrical systems in aviation or telecommunications environments.
• Proficiency operating light construction equipment such as CTL, excavators, or similar equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance and meet background investigation requirements associated with federal contract work.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety with experience following OSHA and FAA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform site excavation, trenching, foundation pouring, conduit installation, and backfilling for tower bases and supporting infrastructure.
• Execute concrete forming and civil construction activities in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Support site preparation and cleanup activities
• Operate light to medium construction equipment including CTL, mini-excavators, skid steers, and telehandlers.
• Assemble, erect, and upgrade communication towers including structural components, antenna mounts, and waveguide bridges.
• Install and terminate RF cabling, coaxial lines, fiber optics, and hybrid cables with proper routing and weatherproofing.
• Implement grounding systems, electrical wiring, surge protection, and bonding in accordance with NEC and FAA standards.
• Perform tower climbing for inspections, installations, and maintenance; climbing certification preferred.
• Decommission and remove legacy towers and equipment, including safe demolition and disposal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, site plans, and RF data sheets.
• Coordinate with FAA personnel, subcontractors, and project managers to schedule outages, manage timelines, and resolve on-site issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance processes.
