Job summary
General Motors LLC at the Arlington plant is seeking an Occupational Health Registered Nurse to provide emergency care, first aid, and episodic treatment of workplace injuries within standing orders. The role focuses on preventing illness, protecting workers from hazards, and restoring health.
The nurse will maintain medical records for regulatory reporting and work independently when needed. The position is onsite at the Arlington plant, requires a State RN license and 2+ years nursing
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- Valid state nursing license required.
- 2+ years nursing experience required.
- CPR/AED certification required.
- Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/software.
- Must be able to work on 3rd Shift (overnights).
Responsibilities
- Administers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employees.
- Performs and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic tests.
- Assists plant physician in minor surgical procedures.
- Interviews and documents medical history of employees.
- Maintains accurate medical records to ensure quality and legal compliance.
- Performs physical exams and documents findings.
- Promotes plant wellness programs and health services initiatives.
