Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Occupational Health Registered Nurse for the Romulus, MI plant. You will provide emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment under standing orders, with a focus on preventing illness and protecting workers from hazards.

Responsibilities include documenting medical history, maintaining records, assisting with minor procedures and promoting wellness programs. A valid nursing license and EMR proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing and active state nursing license.
• 2+ years of nursing experience.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Proficient with EMR and basic computer software.
• Ability to work on 2nd Shift (off shift).

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment for occupational injuries.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist plant physician in minor surgical procedures.
• Document medical history and vaccination status of employees.
• Promote plant wellness programs and health services initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Health Services team and departments.
