Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is assisting a local Pensacola area energy equipment manufacturer by recruiting a Technical Writer onsite.

You will develop and update user manuals, PM work orders, and CMMS content in Maximo, validate instructions against OEM specs, collaborate with maintenance teams, and document technical activities. This is a 12-month contract with onsite hours 6am–4:30pm or 7am–5:30, weekends on short notice, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with Maximo or other CMMS platforms preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and common PDF editing tools.
• Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, on short notice
• Willing and able to work any shift including split shifts and across shifts

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update user manuals, guides, PM work orders, job plans, and technical documentation within Maximo CMMS.
• Review and validate maintenance instructions against OEM manuals and technical specifications.
• Validate labor estimates, job steps, and task sequencing for field execution.
• Revise and standardize documentation to align with OEM procedures and internal standards.
• Produce clear, well-structured technical content to improve readability and usability.
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, supervisors, reliability engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Support data entry, document control, and configuration management in Maximo.
• Document technical activities and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of all content per established standards.
