Job summary

WCL Group is seeking a Technical Writer for Maintenance Operations in Pensacola, FL. You will create and maintain maintenance documentation, manuals, and work orders within Maximo CMMS, ensuring accuracy and alignment with OEM specs and internal standards.

With minimal supervision, you’ll document field activities, collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams, and support document control and reporting while adhering to safety and PPE requirements in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial settings.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to read OEM manuals, specs and drawings clearly.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user manuals and maintenance guides in Maximo CMMS.
• Review OEM manuals and procedures for accuracy and compliance.
• Validate labor estimates, steps and sequencing for field work.
• Standardize documentation to internal standards and OEM requirements.
• Create clear technical content to improve maintenance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and engineers to validate docs.
• Support document control, configuration management, and Maximo activities.
• Document activities and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain high accuracy and consistency across docs.
• Inspect equipment and document maintenance in industrial settings with PPE compliance.
