Job summary

The Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute in Princeton, NJ seeks a Technical Support Manager to oversee daily technology needs for faculty, staff, labs, and events. This onsite role requires strong customer focus, collaboration with OIT, and a hands-on approach across diverse systems.

The candidate will manage inventory, onboard/offboard staff, support teaching labs, and coordinate with researchers on data movement and security. Evening events may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and customer service mindset.
• Strong knowledge of information security and AV/ videoconferencing.
• Experience with Windows, macOS and Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot desktop, printers, and devices across Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Provide software support for a suite of products.
• Guide technology purchases and configure equipment for campus use.
• Manage department inventory and comply with security policies.
• Provide AV support for meetings and large events.
• Collaborate with IT on security policy implementations and exceptions.
