Job summary

Liberty Science Center is seeking a full-time Technology Support Specialist IT/AV to join the Technology Services team in Jersey City. You will provide hands-on on-site support for computers, software, audiovisual systems, and hardware, ensuring reliable operation during staff, guest, and event needs.

The role interfaces with NAKA Technologies MSP for remote assistance and requires strong customer service and documentation skills.

Qualifications

Experience delivering Level 2 onsite IT and AV support.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and AV equipment.

Responsibilities

Provide up to Level 2 onsite IT and AV support to staff, guests, and event attendees.
Coordinate with NAKA Technologies MSP and LSC tech team for escalations and workflows.
Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system and maintain accurate records.
Adhere to the Technology Team Help Desk Playbook and suggest workflow improvements.
Set up, configure, and test staff computers, desk phones, mobile devices, and POS stations.
Perform imaging, testing, and deployment of software and hardware.
Maintain inventory records and track end-of-life devices for recycling program.
Install and troubleshoot Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices; manage MDM deployments.
Schedule onboarding trainings with the People Team and support new employee orientations.
Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot incidents and deploy new services.
Contribute to technology projects with tasks or small end-to-end projects in Monday.com.
Provide user training and maintain adoption materials for key applications.
Assist with start-up/shutdown of AV and IT equipment as needed.
Support Live Science demonstrations with audio/visual and display tools.
