Job summary

IndyGo, Indianapolis' municipal transit authority, seeks a Recruiter I to support high-volume staffing from sourcing through onboarding. You will partner with managers to design recruitment plans for Coach Operators, Mechanics, and corporate roles, while building strong pipelines and candidate relationships.

The role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory compliance, and a proactive talent acquisition approach in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR preferred or related field.
• Two years of recruiting, interviewing, marketing, advertising, and public interaction functions preferred; union environment preferred.
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
• Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving hiring goals by identifying, sourcing, recruiting, and screening qualified candidates.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment plans, clarify required job skills, create job descriptions and competencies, and select sourcing strategies.
• Assist in developing interview questions for hiring managers.
• Review resumes against job requirements; conduct candidate phone screens or assessments; present qualified candidates.
• Maintain candidate pipelines and recruit through various strategies for high-volume hiring.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding activities with team members.
• Build community relationships via social media, referrals, colleges, and outreach.
• Track recruitment-related expenses and analyze effectiveness of strategies for continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties aligned with IndyGo’s strategic goals.
