Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks a System Administrator for 100% on-site work in Salem, VA. The role entails engineering, provisioning, and supporting servers, storage, and services to ensure continuous operation.

You will monitor system health, backups, and security, and perform routine patches and upgrades while maintaining documentation and runbooks. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of experience in IT, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Familiar with standard concepts and procedures in IT operations.
• Experience planning and executing system provisioning and maintenance.
• Ability to operate with limited supervision and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Install and rebuild servers and configure hardware, services, and storage as required.
• Perform daily system monitoring and verify backups and log integrity.
• Apply OS patches, upgrades, and update admin tools as needed.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation; assist with capacity planning.
• Provide Tier III/other support and troubleshoot hardware/software failures.
