Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a System Technologist based in the Orlando, FL area. This onsite role focuses on the continuous optimization, maintenance, and high-tier support of mission-critical communications infrastructure and public safety systems.

You will perform system engineering, troubleshooting, and deployment tasks, partnering with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to meet customer expectations. Expect 24/7 rotation and CJIS background checks where required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or 4+ years in Backhaul, Fiber, MPLS, Microwave, Engineering, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, P25, IT, Public Safety or related fields.
• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by customers.
• CJIS Security Policy background check is required.

Responsibilities

• System Engineering & Maintenance: program, configure, optimize, test and document complex communication systems.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting for software-driven electronics, system infrastructure, RF and data architectures.
• Network & Infrastructure Management of IP-based networks (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls).
• System Deployment & Optimization: install server hardware/OS/software and collaborate with Engineering, PM, and Sales to deploy solutions.
• Problem Solving & Reporting: provide weekly updates on activities and improvements.
