Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Orlando, FL is seeking a System Technologist to maintain and optimize mission-critical communications infrastructure on site. You will handle complex RF, network, and server systems with a focus on reliability and security, including CJIS requirements.

This role requires on-site presence, willingness for 24/7 rotation, and the ability to document activities, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with Engineering, PM, and Sales to deliver effective solutions.

Qualifications

• RF & Wireless: deep knowledge of RF systems, P25 digital architecture, transmitters/receivers.
• Networking & Telecommunications: IP networks, data circuits, routing, telephony.
• Server & Hardware: OS install, server maintenance, hardware troubleshooting.
• General Skills: reporting, documentation, productivity tools.
• Soft Skills: self-motivated, works independently, thrives under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and optimize complex communication systems.
• Provide end-to-end technical support for software-driven electronics and infrastructure.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain IP-based networks and backhaul technologies.
• Install servers and software, and coordinate with Engineering/PM/Sales teams.
• Deliver weekly reporting on activities, improvements and operations.
