Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop Windows- and Linux-based solutions in a government hosting facility at NAVAIR Pax River, MD. Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain TS after start. On-site role with future funding and DoD-compliant security expectations.

Responsibilities include deploying hardware, managing VMs/containers, backups, DR planning, AD management, and agile collaboration. Preferred skills include VMware, Docker, and secure networking.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required; ability to obtain Top Secret after start.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with system administration responsibilities.
• Experience with RMF compliance, STIG and ACAS scanning; security-focused.
• Certification in Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility problems.
• Deploy and maintain physical/virtual hardware, VMs, and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration changes on servers/workstations.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot hardware/software; ensure backups and DR plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and software deployments.
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide customer technical support and security guidance per DoD guidance.
• Maintain security posture via continuous monitoring and incident reporting.
• Participate in Agile project planning and on-prem networking support.
