Job summary

SimVentions, Inc is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required, with ability to obtain Top Secret after starting work.

Responsibilities include deploying hardware and VMs, maintaining backups, managing user accounts, installing software, supporting customers, and maintaining DoD-aligned security

Qualifications

• RMF compliance experience including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• A certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.
• At least three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration of servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions and deploy software applications.
• Ensure security posture per DoD guidance and continuous monitoring.
• Participate in Agile projects and provide networking support for on-premise infra.
