Job summary

SimVentions is seeking an enterprising System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an active clearance path and potential for Top Secret after start.

Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining hardware and virtual infrastructure, performing maintenance, backups, security, and Agile planning, while

Qualifications

• At least three years experience in similar duties.
• Experience with RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in Windows or Linux environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for a government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration changes on physical and virtual hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain system documentation and knowledge base.
• Provide technical support to customers and guidance on best practices.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance and maintain security posture.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on‑prem infrastructure.
