Job summary

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations at its growing manufacturing site in Hebron, Kentucky. This full-time, onsite role handles journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

You will assist with tax filings, cost and inventory accounting, depreciation schedules, audits, and internal controls while leveraging ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting concepts.
• Experience preparing or reviewing sales and use tax filings.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances.
• Support inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations and cost analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
• Support internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and preparing schedules.
• Prepare financial reports and management reporting packages.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
